DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
The current appropriation in Operating Supplies - Computer Hardware is insufficient because funding for the conference room technology upgrade was originally budgeted in Building - Construct Improvements under a larger project scope. After the scope was reduced, the project no longer qualified for the Building - Construct Improvements account, leaving inadequate funding in Operating Supplies - Computer Hardware to complete the necessary technology enhancements. Additional operating funds are therefore needed to ensure the conference room is properly equipped and functional.
Sufficient funds are available in Building - Construct Improvements, as the original budget reflected a more extensive project than what is now being completed. A transfer of $10,000 is requested to support the revised conference room hardware upgrade. While the hardware upgrade is a non-recurring expense, the associated annual licensing cost of $680 is recurring and has already been included in the FY 2026-27 budget.
