DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:

The State approved participation in this program as part of the recent session (Senate Bill 2500). The program will make available additional funding to hospitals providing inpatient and outpatient services to Medicaid managed care enrollees and it is administered similar to the LIP program and has to be implemented by the County to benefit hospitals within its jurisdiction.
