DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
On March 21, 2023, the Board approved a contract with Ardurra Group, Inc., to provide engineering services for the Southwest Service Area Waste Water Treatment Facility Project Design for the Marion County Utilities Department. The first phase of this project was to address the preliminary study to determine the long and short-term solutions and to support future development and design tasks.
The second phase of this project, which is presented today, includes design, permitting and bidding assistance for the Oak Run Waste Water Treatment Plant expansion from 1.6 million gallons per day (MGD) to 3.5 MGD treatment capacity as well as designing and bidding of an early work operating and maintenance component to improve existing operations, prior to the expansion construction. In addition, the Annual Capacity Analysis Report preparation, which is required by the current Waste Water Treatment Permit, is included in the scope. Odor Management is considered and included in the scope of the project.
Attached for review is a draft contract amendment. Pending approval at today’s meeting, it will be forwarded to Ardurra Group, Inc. for signature, and upon return, will be processed for signatures from Legal, the Clerk, and Chair.
BUDGET/IMPACT:
Neutral; project cost is $1,998,836. Funding is from line ZF448536-563102 (Marion County Utility Fund) with Project Code UTC000138.

Motion to approve and allow staff to issue contract, and upon approval by Legal, authorize the Chair and Clerk to execute the First Contract Amendment with Ardurra Group, Inc. under 22Q-132.
