DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
The Tourist Development department has worked over the last few months to develop a comprehensive marketing plan for Marion Celebrates America 250. This proposal is one of the first pieces of the overall plan to come before the Board of County Commissioners after a unanimous recommendation from the Tourist Development Council. This project was not included in the initial budget for FY 2025-26 and as such will need to be funded in the amount of $58,275 from Reserve for Tourism Initiatives. This is a non-recurring issue as it is directly related to the overall initiative surrounding Marion Celebrates America 250.
