DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
On behalf of Marion County Utilities (MCU), Procurement advertised a bid seeking qualified contractors to perform asphalt pavement restoration services following water and sewer utility installation and repair.
The intent of this contract is to establish unit pricing for commonly required asphalt pavement restoration services, allowing MCU to obtain restoration work at established contract rates on an as-needed basis as projects arise. The Contractor will be responsible for providing all required labor and materials and performing the work in accordance with applicable federal, state, County, FDOT, FDEP, OSHA, and other applicable standards and regulations. The contractor will also be responsible for site preparation and conditions, traffic control, safety, cleanup, debris removal, and any damage to property resulting from its operations.

MCU staff recommend T&C Underground, Inc., as the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
Attached for review is a draft contract. Following approval at today’s meeting, it will be sent to T&C Underground, Inc., for signature. Upon return, the executed contract will be forwarded to Legal, the Clerk, and Chairman for final execution.
BUDGET/IMPACT:
Neutral; estimated annual expenditure of $157,250. Funding is available in ZF442533-546105 ($106,250) and ZF445535-546105 ($51,000). Actual expense will be based on utilization.

Motion to approve the recommendation and allow staff to issue the contract and upon approval by Legal, authorize the Chairman and Clerk to execute the contract under 26B-104.
