DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:

Stefan Merhl and Cathy Merhl, applied for a Special Use Permit for two (2) miniature horses on a ±1.54-acre site with Rural Land future land use designation and R-1 zoning classification. The Parcel Identification Number associated with the property is 3493-090-003. The site’s address is 12721 SW 73rd Street, Ocala, FL 34481. The site is located outside of the Urban Growth Boundary and Farmland Preservation Area. The Conceptual Site Plan submitted with the application proposes a 27,000 square foot fenced pasture containing a 20’ x 30’ barn and a 20’ x 60’ paddock/dry lot.
