DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
The Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) just released their letters of agreement, which is a separate item on the agenda for approval. This budget amendment is necessary to fund the additional Marion County match in order to receive the full funding.
The Marion County contribution of $3,745,781 is $1,183,383 over the FY 2024-25 budget of $2,562,389. The additional payment may be funded from the anticipated revenues as a letter of commitment has been provided. Additionally, this will provide a net increase of revenue for FY 2024-25 to the General Fund of $5,403,526.
BUDGET/IMPACT:
Increase General Fund appropriation by $1,183,393.
