DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
On September 16, 2025, the Board approved contracts with seven (7) firms to provide Utilities Engineering Design Support Services for Marion County.
Under this agreement, Marion County Utilities (MCU) has assigned Wright-Pierce, Inc., Inc., to provide professional engineering services to develop a comprehensive Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Master Plan and SCADA Standards Manual for MCU.
The project includes data collection, site evaluations, stakeholder meetings, evaluation of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and SCADA platform alternatives, development of system standardization and cybersecurity recommendations, and preparation of a phased implementation plan and design standards to guide future instrumentation, control, and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition systems across the County's water, wastewater, reclaimed water, and pumping facilities.
Attached for review is a contract draft and pending approval at today’s meeting, it will be sent to Wright-Pierce, Inc., for signatures. Upon return, it will be forwarded to Legal, the Clerk, and Chairman for execution.
BUDGET/IMPACT:
Neutral; expenditure of $230,540. Funding for this project is from ZF448536-562102 (Marion County Utility Fund), Project UTC000134
