DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:

Community Services is requesting a transfer in the amount of $640,000 to reallocate existing county opioid funds from the line item Other Current Charges-Misc. Expenses to a newly established budget line item, Machinery and Equipment, to properly account for expenditures associated with a recently executed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Marion County Community Services and Marion County Fire Rescue for the purchase of Hamilton-T1 Intelligent Transport Ventilators. The MOU was executed following approval by the Board of County Commissioners of the amended County Opioid Plan during the November 18, 2025, board meeting, which authorized the inclusion of the ventilator purchase.
