DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
On April 6, 2021, the Board awarded a contract to Commercial Industrial Corp. to widen the existing roadways/intersection into four (4) lane with turn lanes, bike lanes, curb and gutter, concrete sidewalks, shared use path, median, storm drainage retention areas, pavement markings, traffic signalization, ditches, berms, driveways, watermains, and sanitary sewer mains. Prior change orders, Change Order (CO) 1-13, added both time and funds to the purchase order/project. Due to delays in utility coordination and receiving as-builts required to complete the project, the resulting CO, being presented today, requests to add $169,759.94 to the Purchase Order.
The CO is attached for review. Pending approval at today’s meeting, the CO will be presented to the Chair for signatures.
BUDGET/IMPACT:
Neutral; additional expenditure of $169,759.94, bringing the total purchase order amount to $7,602,385.54. Funding is available from VJ738541-563220 - Infrastructure Surtax Capital Project Fund.
