DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
The Billing Division is taking advantage of a Certified Ambulance Privacy Officer (CAPO) certification that is provided in order to be able to send 7 employees to become certified in HIPAA compliance in order to better maintain medical health records with regard to EMS law. There are funds available in Training & Education that can be used for Travel & Per Diem to support certifying those necessary in dealing with medical records to remain in HIPAA compliance. This one-week conference is scheduled for March 2025.
