DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
Marion County Fire Rescue applied for a Walmart Community Grant and was awarded $3,000 from Store #697 (located at 2600 SW 19th Avenue Road, Ocala, FL) for the SWAT operations under the Special Ops Division. These funds will go toward the program to purchase protective equipment, including vests, helmets, communications gear, etc. This budget amendment is to recognize the revenues and the corresponding expenditure line item so that the items can be purchased for the SWAT Medics.
BUDGET/IMPACT:
Increase Fire, Rescue and EMS Fund appropriation by $3,000.
