DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
The Marion County Parks & Recreation Department is requesting to transfer funds from Regular Salaries & Wages to Contract Services. This budget amendment will allow the department to hire two contract Parks Maintenance Technicians for the remainder of the fiscal year. These contract positions are needed to maintain daily park operations and support increased workload while vacant positions remain unfilled. Utilizing contract employees will provide immediate operational support and help maintain service levels through the end of the fiscal year.
