DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
On November 4, 2025, the Board approved the contract with CAP Government, Inc., to provide commercial, residential, and accessory structure plan review and inspection services for structures in which permits have been applied for or issued by the County. On behalf of Building Safety, Procurement is now requesting Board approval to formally terminate the existing contract with CAP Government, Inc.
Pursuant to Section 15 of the contract, the County may terminate this contract, without cause, with at least thirty (30) days written notice to the Firm.
A notice was sent out both by email and Certified Letter on September 25, 2026, notifying CAP Government, Inc., the contract would terminate on October 26, 2026.
