DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
This resolution establishes a designated Program Area within portions of Marion Oaks Units 1 and 9 to support voluntary connection to the Marion County Utilities (MCU) water system.
Under the program, owners of developed properties within the designated area may voluntarily connect to the MCU water system, with eligible connection costs covered through grant funding if participation requirements are met. The resolution also establishes a future surcharge structure for undeveloped properties and for developed properties that do not connect within the established timeframe, consistent with county policy.
The project supports the expansion of potable water service, promotes long-term infrastructure improvements, and increases access to reliable drinking water service within the community.
