DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
Staff has submitted Land Development Code (LDC) Amendment Applications to review and update:
• LDC Article 2, Division 21, Major Site Plan, Section 2.21.1, Applicability
• LDC Article 2, Division 22, Stand Alone Permits, Section 2.22.2, Driveway Connection
• LDC Article 6, Division 13, Stormwater Management, Section 6.13.3, Stormwater Management Facilities
• LDC Article 6, Division 13, Stormwater Management, Section 6.13.4, Stormwater Quantity Criteria
• LDC Article 6, Division 13, Stormwater Management, Section 6.13.5, Flood Plain and Protection
• LDC Article 6, Division 13, Stormwater Management, Section 6.13.8, Stormwater Conveyance Criteria
• LDC Article 7, Division 3, Design Details, Section 7.3.1, Transportation and Stormwater, to revise TS034 Drainage Retention Area, to add TS039 Bedding and Trenching with Undercutting, and to add TS040 Bedding and Trenching Without Undercutting
• LDC Article 7, Division 3, Design Details, Section 7.3.2, Utilities, to revise UT102 Type A Bed Trench, and to revise UT103 Type B Bed Trench
The proposed revisions are to be considered by the Land Development Regulation Commission (LDRC) in a public hearing to be held on July 23, 2025, at 5:30 p.m., consistent with LDC Section 2.4.3.
LDC Section 2.5.5.A(1) requires the Board to consider the adoption of the proposed amendments in two advertised public hearings. At least one hearing is to be held after 5:00 p.m. on a weekday, unless the Board, by a majority plus one vote, elects to conduct that hearing at another time of day. Further, the second public hearing shall be held at least ten days after the first hearing. The following dates and times are being requested to conduct the required public hearings and accommodate the required advertising to consider the proposed Amendments:
• Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., or as soon thereafter as possible, in the McPherson Governmental Campus Auditorium and
• Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 5:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as possible, in the McPherson Governmental Campus Auditorium.
