DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
On behalf of Marion County Utilities (MCU), Procurement advertised an RFP for qualified firms to provide electric motor, pump, blower diagnostics, and cleaning and repair, both onsite and offsite. The Selection Committee evaluated and scored the three (3) proposals received. The tabulation is below:

Utilities Director, Jody Kirkman, supports the Selection Committee’s recommendation and requests approval to contract with the two (2) top-ranked firms, to provide redundancy in the ability to cover the associated work within the Utilities Department.
Attached for review is a draft of each contract, which are identical with the exception of the fee schedules. Pending approval at today’s meeting they will be forwarded to the respective contractors for execution as written. Upon return, they will be processed for the County Attorney, Clerk and Chairman’s signatures.
BUDGET/IMPACT:
Neutral; expenditure is estimated at $200,000 annually, however, this will vary based on actual need. Annual expenditures shall not exceed approved FY budgeted amounts without being brought back to the Board for approval.
