DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
Barbara and Kevin Marovich have applied to rezone a 11.78-acre property at 7600 S Magnolia Avenue, Ocala, FL, from Single-Family Dwelling (R-1) to General Agriculture (A-1), pursuant to the provisions of Land Development Code (LDC) Division 2.7 - Zoning and LDC Section 4.2. The subject property has a Rural Land (RL) land use designation and is situated outside the Urban Growth Boundary (UGB) and in the County's Primary Springs Protection Overlay Zone (PSPOZ). The subject property had been vacated from the nearby Hamblen, H.A. subdivision in 2004. The intention of the zoning change is to immediately allow farm animals and orchard crop production.
