DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
On October 19, 2021, the Board of County Commissioners approved the purchase of T10 Pit Gallon Water Meters and Reg-Encoder R-900I adapters for their Automated Meter Replacement (AMR) Program for an amount of $450,000. Change Order 1 added $183,000 to the Purchase Order in June 2022 and Change Order 2 added $500,000 to the Purchase Order in December 2022, due to significant growth in new service accounts in the system.
Change Order 3 is requesting to add $400,000 to the Purchase Order to fund additional meters as new service accounts continue to increase to support growth in the service area, as well as to replace failed and aging meters.
Pending approval at today’s meeting, the Change Order will be presented for the Chairman’s and Clerk’s signatures.
BUDGET/IMPACT:
Neutral; additional expenditure of $400,000; new project total $1,533,000. Funding is available in line ZF448536-56102 (Utilities Capital Construction), Project Code UTC000117.
