DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
Marion County Fire Rescue (MCFR) was awarded grant funding through the executed Federally Funded Subaward and Grant Agreement R1377 between the Division of Emergency Management, Department of Homeland Security, and MCFR TF8, in the amount of $163,240. This contract was approved by the Board on July 21, 2026. These funds will be spent by September 30, 2027. However, capital items may be subject to re-appropriation if on back-order or not received by the end of the fiscal year. Funds are only recognized with an executed contract. This is a non-recurring budget action and is only recognized when an award is received. Attached is the breakdown of the spending plan, including the capital equipment that will be recognized for this grant in the Fire Rescue and EMS Fund.
