DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
On June 6, 2023, the Board approved contracts with CEC Motor and Utility Services (CEC) and Mader Electric, Inc., now Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance, Inc. (EMMI), to provide electric motor, pump, blower diagnostics, and cleaning and repair.
Marion County Utilities recommends renewal of these contracts for the first of three (3) available annual renewals, as the vendors have performed well under this contract and have received favorable evaluations. Each renewal extends the contracts for one (1) additional year, through June 30, 2027.
The renewal with Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance Inc. also acknowledges the corporate merger from Mader Electric, Inc., with all rights and obligations assigned accordingly. All other terms and conditions of the agreements remain unchanged.
Attached for review are the draft contract amendments. Upon approval at today’s meeting the agreements will be sent to CEC and EMMI for signature, and once returned will be sent to Legal, the Clerk and Chairman for signatures.
BUDGET/IMPACT:
Neutral; expenditure is estimated at $200,000 annually, however, this will vary based on actual need. Annual expenditures shall not exceed approved FY budgeted amounts without being brought back to the Board for approval.
