DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
On November 20, 2018, the Board awarded a contract to Guerra Development Corp. (GDC) to develop and provide a Preliminary Engineering Report (PER) to support the widening and other future improvements to SW-NW 80th/70th Avenue from SW 90th Street to a half mile north of US 27. Purchase Order 2000604 was issued for $764,445. Change Order 1 was a Time Only Changer Order, adding 365 days to the Contract time. Change Order 2 requests approval to add $112,290 to the Purchase Order to add twenty-five (25) more DRA sites due to the complexity of the corridor. Work will include research, soil borings, soil sampling as well as additional interaction with developers and the public to address specific requirements for additional options or modifications to the planned proposal.
Pending approval at today’s meeting, the Change Order will be presented for the Clerk’s and Chairman’s signatures.
BUDGET/IMPACT:
Neutral; additional cost for the new sites and supporting work is $112,290, bringing the Purchase Order total to $876,735.
