DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
The most recent Procurement Ordinance was adopted in 2022. Revisions and Additions have been recommended which are addressed in this version and include the following:
• Modify Small Procurement monetary guidelines.
• Providing for the authorization of departmental expenditures on food, beverages and small basic appliances relating to public purposes.
• Renumbering subsection 2-253 to 2-254, as well as other minor changes.
This agenda item also requests approval to schedule and Advertise a Public Hearing to adopt the Procurement Ordinance amending the Marion County Procurement Code on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in the McPherson Governmental Campus Auditorium.

Action on this item has no budget impact.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Recommended action
Motion to approve the revisions to the Procurement Ordinance, authorize staff to schedule and advertise a Public Hearing to adopt the Ordinance on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in the McPherson Government Campus Auditorium and work with the County Attorney and his staff to finalize any additional revisions that may be directed by the Board.
