DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
The Applicants/ Owners, David Labby or Tina Head, request a waiver from the water main connection as it is extremely cost prohibitive (approximately $58,000). A well is requested and in line with what other residents on the street have.
LDC 6.14.2.B(1)(A) Water Main Connection
The CODE states new development in the Urban or Rural area shall connect to a centralized water system with available capacity if a water line is within a connection distance of 400 feet times the total number of Equivalent Residential Connections (ERCs).
The subject property is located in the southwestern portion of the County within Ocala Waterway Estates on approximately 1.25 acres.
The waiver request was heard by the Development Review Committee (DRC) on August 17, 2026. The DRC voted to Deny without support to the Board of County Commissioners.
