DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
The Building Safety Department is requesting a public hearing to consider an ordinance to amend Chapter 5.5 of the Marion County Code related to building and building regulations. This ordinance will create a list of items that will be exempt from permitting and update the Marion County Code to the 8th edition of the Florida Building Code.
The following date is being requested for the public hearing:
• Tuesday, February 19, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in the McPherson Government Campus Auditorium.
