DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
Marion County Fire Rescue forecasts needing additional funds for medical supplies to ensure that there is enough inventory for the rest of the fiscal year as the current fiscal year trend has been about $100,000 in medical supplies.
Originally planned radio upgrades ($20,000 for portable radios and $18,000 for mobile radios) were funded through a different source than expected, freeing up that $38,000 for the current year. Additionally, there's some leftover money from the recent purchase of Lucas Devices.
By combining these unallocated resources (unused radio budget + Lucas Device funds = $38,000 + $12,000 = $50,000), MCFR can bridge the gap in their medical supply budget. This reallocation ensures they have the necessary equipment for the remainder of the fiscal year and can continue providing vital medical care.
