DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
On behalf of the Office of the County Engineer, Procurement advertised a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for contractors to provide day-to-day services that include miscellaneous maintenance and sinkhole repairs. Typical work under this contract includes standard clearing and grubbing; placement and compaction of fill in 12-inch lifts; restoration of disturbed areas through sodding; erosion control measures; removal and replacement of damaged drainage structures; grading and stabilization activities; and other related civil construction tasks necessary to support county maintenance operations. The contract will be valid for a period of two (2) years, with the option of three (3) additional one-year renewal terms. Six (6) firms responded. The Selection Committee evaluated the proposals and ranked them per the tabulation below:

Steven Cohoon, P.E., County Engineer, has reviewed and is in support of the Selection Committee’s recommendation to award the top four (4) ranking firms.
Attached for review is a draft contract, identical for each firm. Pending approval at today’s meeting, the contracts will be sent to the firms for signature and, upon return, will be forwarded for execution by the County Attorney, the Clerk, and the Chairman.

Motion to approve recommendation and allow staff to issue, and upon approval by Legal, authorize the Clerk and Chairman to execute contracts with the four (4) firms under 25Q-125.
