DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
On October 5, 2021, the Board approved a contract with one (1) firm to provide electrical services on an as-needed basis for the County. Marion County Parks & Recreation has selected Chuck’s Stokes Electric of Central Fla, Inc. (Stokes) for the installation of the Aergility Hangar’s new interior lighting.
The project scope includes replacing the existing main Sylvania panel with a new Siemens main panel to match the existing subpanel, along with all new breakers. Work also includes furnishing and installing 40 new LED light fixtures throughout the hangar. The lighting system is designed to provide an average of 105 FC foot-candle illumination at a minimum 80 CRI with 5000K CCT; each fixture includes a gasketed acrylic optic to ensure low glare. Fixtures will be wired at 240 volts using two circuits with two dimmers, allowing for on/off control and dimming of half the warehouse independently.
Attached for review is a copy of Stokes’ proposal. Upon approval at today’s meeting, Parks & Recreation will issue a purchase order to Stokes for the full project amount and the proposal will become backup to the project file.
