DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
Marion County Utilities (MCU) entered into Contract 23-06 with 484 Road Runner Resources on November 21, 2023 for the design and construction of water and wastewater lines to connect with MCU. As part of this contract, MCU requested that some of the pipes be oversized in order to supply additional future growth. The contract includes a Not To Exceed amount of $282,300 for these oversized pipes, and does not include any reimbursement for design or engineering costs, as both parties agreed these costs would not be different using the proposed piping. MCU has not required all of the funds budgeted for relocations of water and sewer lines due to road construction, which allows funds to be transferred from this project string. This is a one-time request.
