DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:

Marion County Fire Rescue (MCFR) is working with Combat Veterans to Careers (CVTC), which is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization dedicated to assisting men and women who have served in active combat zones by connecting them with resources, training and support necessary to obtain and maintain long-term employment. CVTC also supports Veterans and First Responders by connecting individuals with appropriate mental health services and related resources.

CVTC has requested MCFR to provide Advanced Life Support (ALS) coverage for its fundraising concert in lieu of contracting with a private ambulance provider. The request is intended to highlight and recognize local public safety personnel while ensuring appropriate emergency medical coverage is available during the event.

The fundraising concert is scheduled for Friday, October 23, 2026, at The Club at Iron Lake, located at 950 NW 75th Street, Ocala, Florida. MCFR ALS coverage is requested from 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.
