DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
To allow continued staff leasing through the end of the fiscal year $139,000 will be transferred from Regular Salaries and Wages (BL400541-512101) and $11,000will be transferred from the FICA Taxes (BL400541-521101) to Contract Services - Staff Leasing (BL400541-534115). This is necessary to fill entry level positions that otherwise remain vacant, primarily in the Roads and Traffic sections.
Additionally, $100,000 will be transferred from Regular Salaries and Wages to Overtime (BL400541-514101). The two required hurricane responses at the beginning of the fiscal year resulted in unanticipated additional overtime hours, depleting the account faster than planned. Should spending trends remain level, this transfer should allow for overtime activities through the end of the fiscal year.
