DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
On behalf of the Office of the County Engineer (OCE), Procurement Services advertised a bid to overlay 1.4 miles of road on East/South Hwy 25 (CR 25). The work includes overlay and milling on the existing pavement, constructing side street and driveway aprons, sodding shoulders, pavement markings, and resetting guardrails. Three (3) Contractors responded to the bid. County Engineer, Elton Holland, requests to contract with Anderson Columbia Co., Inc., the lowest responsive bidder based on the tabulation below:

Attached for review is a contract draft. Pending approval at today’s meeting, it will be sent to the Contractor for signature and upon return, will be routed for same by the County Attorney, Clerk, and Chairman.
BUDGET/IMPACT:
Neutral; project cost is $1,166,328. Up to ten percent (10%) contingency may be added to the Purchase Order in accordance with the Procurement Manual.
