DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
At the May 2021 meeting with the Medical Examiner Committee, the request was made by the Medical Examiner for an extra doctor to be included on staff. The budget was approved and adjusted; however, it did not include the additional cost of an extra desktop computer and two (2) monitors. There are also three (3) desktops to be purchased as part of the IT recommended replacement plan. A microscope is also required for the doctor, which will be included in the Operating Supplies line item to accommodate their additional need. Additionally, Marion County was included as part of the Deed of the Medical Examiner's building and the insurance liability has to increase to adjust for the additional liability needed, per the Risk Management Department.
