DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
On October 20, 2020, the Board approved a Selection Committee recommendation for qualified Architectural firms. Facilities Management has assigned the construction drawings and construction administration for the HR Clinic to Architecture Studio, Inc. The project is an adaptive re-use of a former Pioneer Garden club building. The overall project consists of an 8,125 sq. ft. interior with exterior covered spaces that include a covered entrance for vehicles to pass through and a large perimeter columnated canopy of 2,362 sq. ft.; for a total of 10,490 sq. ft. The firm will provide code research, construction documents, bidding assistance and construction administration services for the project, which will include Architecture, Mechanical, Ventilation, Electrical, Plumbing, and Structural engineering services. In addition, the firm will provide two (2) full color photo realistic renderings of the space.
A copy of the Architecture Studio’s proposal is attached for review and will become part of the project file and backup to the purchase order.
BUDGET/IMPACT:
Neutral; project cost is $94,500. Funding is from line ZK711519-562102 (Insurance Fund, Capital Improvements) with Project Code RBC000002.
