DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
The attached Marketing Assistance Funding Program Guidelines were presented to and approved for recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) by the Tourist Development Council (TDC) on May 25, 2023.
These guidelines were developed in consideration for the TDC’s mission to lead the marketing of our tourism industry to enhance economic growth and prosperity.
The program serves to leverage the newly reimagined Ocala/Marion County brand through collaborative efforts with tourism industry partners in Marion County to further their marketing reach and visitor attraction.
Tourist Development staff worked with the County Attorney’s office to ensure compliance with Florida Statute 125.0104.
