DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
Each year, the Health Department and Marion County negotiate a contract to fund the operation of the Marion County Health Department. During fiscal year FY 2024-25, Facilities Management had a reimbursable amount of $275,000, for contract services and repairs and maintenance for Health Department facilities. When the budget was constructed, $275,000 was used as the basis for anticipated expenditures; however, when the new contract was negotiated, it was determined that Facilities could receive up to $300,000 in reimbursable expenses. The remaining $25,000 is being added to the repairs and maintenance line for the Health Department.
BUDGET/IMPACT:
Increase General Fund appropriation by $25,000.
