DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
On April 19,2022, the County Administrator approved the standardization of Aqua Mag, for use at multiple County water treatment facilities to remove Iron and Magnesium, due to product-specific engineering and permitting requirements. Annual purchases of Aqua Mag are made through Dave Symonds & Associates, Inc., the sole authorized distributor in the State of Florida.
This year’s total expenditure is anticipated to be approximately $55,000, which exceeds the threshold requiring Board approval. Approval of this item will authorize continued purchases of Aqua Mag under the existing standardization authorization (22ST-148). Annual expenditures shall not exceed approved FY budgeted amounts without being brought back to the Board for approval.
