DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
On behalf of Marion County Utilities (MCU), Procurement Services solicited bids for a qualified and licensed contractor to perform asphalt restoration following water and sewer utility installation and repair. One (1) submittal was received and publicly opened in accordance with County procurement procedures.
Following review of the bid results and subsequent discussions between MCU and Procurement Services, it was determined that the submitted bid exceeds the department’s budget. It is in the County’s best interest to reject all bids received and the project be re-advertised to allow for further clarification and refinement of the project scope to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
BUDGET/IMPACT:
None; rejecting all bids carries no budget impact.

Motion to reject all bids under 26B-071 and allow staff to re-advertise a new bid at a later date.
