DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
On June 5, 2012, the Board approved a contract with Waste Pro of Florida, Inc. for the Single Stream Recycling Contract to provide collection and processing of recyclable materials and construct a Material Recovery Facility (MRF) in Marion County. Previous amendments addressed price adjustments. This amendment updates the vendor’s name and FEIN from Waste Pro Florida, Inc. (FEIN 59-3701785) to Waste Pro Ocala MRF, LLC (FEIN 46-3804650) and confirms that rates will remain unchanged at $137.70 per ton through December 31, 2027.
Attached for review is the draft contract amendment. Following approval at today’s meeting, it will be sent to Waste Pro Ocala MRF, LLC for signatures and upon return, will be forwarded to Legal, the Clerk, and Chairman for signatures.
BUDGET/IMPACT:
Neutral; estimated annual expenditure of $420,000, subject to variation based on average market value and tonnage processed. Total annual cost shall not exceed the approved FY budgeted amount without returning to the Board for approval. Funding comes from ZA427534-534101 (Solid Waste Disposal Fund).
