DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
The Marion County Veterans Hall of Fame recognized five veterans and five posthumous honorees during the March 19, 2026 induction ceremony. In addition, two Marion County veterans were inducted into the State of Florida Veterans Hall of Fame. A commemorative display featuring the inductees' names will be installed in the lobby of the Veteran Services building by the Facilities Department. The display is intended to serve as a permanent tribute and will be relocated to the future Veterans Park upon completion of the park’s master plan.
BUDGET/IMPACT:
Estimated expenditure of $2,600; funded by Facilities and Veteran Services.
