DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
Land Development Code (LDC) Section 6.14.2.B.(1) requires connection to a centralized water system with available capacity by extension to the closest point of service if a water main is within a connection distance of 400 feet times the total number of Equivalent Residential Connections (ERCs).
The subject parcel has had a water meter installed since 2004. The water meter serving the parcel is currently locked due to backflow compliance issues. Once the proper backflow prevention is operational, the parcel should be re-connected to the centralized water supply provided by FGUA.
The applicant requests a waiver from reconnecting to the public water available.
This waiver request was denied by the Development Review Committee (DRC) on April 13, 2026.
