DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
The developer of River Creek RV Resort plans to construct improvements on a property located within Marion County. Central water and wastewater services provided by Marion County Utilities (MCU) are not currently accessible to the location. To allow development to move forward, the developer will construct, operate, and maintain private central water and sewer facilities to meet initial utility needs.
This agreement establishes a structured path for the development to integrate into the county's utility network once county infrastructure reaches the area. When MCU central services become available, the County retains full authority to decide whether to take ownership of the private water and wastewater treatment plants and will direct how connections to the public system are completed. The developer remains responsible for all expenses related to constructing, operating, and maintaining the initial utility infrastructure, connecting to county facilities when available, and transferring facility ownership to the County when requested.
