DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:

Marion County Fire Rescue was awarded grant funding through the executed Modification to Subgrant Agreement #H1037 Between The Division of Emergency Management and Marion County, in the amount of $236,686. Funds are also being moved from Reserves for outfitting the generator to make it aesthetically pleasing as it will be located for Fire Rescue Headquarters. This contract was approved and executed by the Board of County Commissioners on the July 16, 2024 regular meeting (agenda item 7.3.1). These funds are required to be expended by January 31, 2026 and are being recognized in the current fiscal year. This budget amendment correlates with the requisition request for the vendor to move forward. 

 

BUDGET/IMPACT:

Increase Fire, Rescue and EMS Fund appropriation by $236,686.

Recommended action

Approve attached Budget Amendment Resolution and amend the CIP.
