DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
On April 17, 2026, Purchase Order 2601169 was issued to CPH Consulting, LLC for engineering services to evaluate the headworks at the Silver Springs Shores Water Reclamation Facility. Following completion of the initial analysis, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) requested that the County provide a more comprehensive headworks evaluation. To meet FDEP’s request, additional engineering services are required to prepare the expanded technical evaluation and report for submission to FDEP, and this additional scope was approved by the Board on August 18, 2026. However, additional funds are needed within the Wastewater Systems organization to support the increased Professional Services costs.
