DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
The East Central Florida Regional Planning Council (ECFRPC) is submitting a Community Planning Technical Assistance (CPTA) grant application to FloridaCommerce for the East Central Florida Regional Capacity Building and Technical Assistance Project.
The CPTA application includes at least three regional assistance initiatives-one regional research and policy project and two community-based technical assistance projects. The regional component will address priorities identified by regional planning directors and produce coordinated research and actionable policy recommendations that promote consistency, implementation, and interjurisdictional collaboration. In addition, the project will deliver direct, implementation-focused planning and technical assistance to a minimum of two local governments in the East Central Florida region, with deliverables such as comprehensive plan evaluations, policy and code audits, community visioning and engagement, GIS mapping and analysis, housing and economic development studies, resilience planning, and hazard mitigation support.
