DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
On September 14, 2021, the Board approved a two (2) year contract with Safety Products, Inc. (SPI) to supply a variety of personal protection items for use by employees at Marion County and its Constitutional Officers. The contract included three (3) annual renewal options. SPI has continued to perform well under this agreement, and Risk Management requests approval of the third and final one (1) year renewal option.
Attached for review is a draft contract amendment; pending approval at today’s meeting, it will be sent to SPI for signatures and upon return, will be routed to the County Attorney, Clerk and Chairman for same.
BUDGET/IMPACT:
Neutral; expenditure will be based on the needs of each individual department, with funding required to be established in the appropriate accounts. Each fiscal years’ expenditure, per department, shall not exceed approved annual budged amounts without being presented to the County Administrator or Board for approval, as appropriate.

Motion to approve, and upon approval by Legal, authorize the Chairman to execute the contract amendment with Safety Products, Inc. under 21P-102.
