DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
On May 7, 2024, the Board approved a contract with Empire Printing LLC to provide embroidered and silk-screened active wear for Fire Rescue personnel. Products include T-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, and related items.
Following a favorable vendor performance review, Marion County Fire Rescue recommends approval of the first of three (3) available renewal options, extending the contract through April 30, 2027.
This amendment also revises the Fee Schedule (Exhibit B) to include additional items: Sport-Tek PosiCharge Competitor Long Sleeve and Short Sleeve shirts, Sport-Tek PosiCharge Competitor Pocketed Shorts, and a Dark Heather 50/50 Blend Zip-Up Hoodie.
Attached for review is a draft of the contract amendment. Upon approval at today’s meeting, the amendment will be forwarded to the vendor for execution. Once returned, it will be routed to the County Attorney, Clerk, and Chairman for final signatures.
BUDGET/IMPACT:
Neutral; estimated annual expenditure of $75,000. Funds are available in EF300522-552107 - $45,000 (Fire Rescue, Clothing and Wearing Apparel Fund), and in AA305526-552107 - $30,000 (EMS, Clothing and Wearing Apparel Fund).

Motion to approve recommendation, authorize staff to issue the contract amendment, and, upon legal approval, authorize the Chairman to execute the agreement with Empire Printing LLC under Contract 24B-227.
