DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
On April 21, 2026, the Board approved Water Main Extension Connection Agreement WME-127-S Between Holiday Builders, Inc and Marion County to connect three parcels to the public water main. The total project cost was $36,760 with the Collective Owner’s total cost being $32,396 for a maximum obligation of 8-inch pipe. The County’s sole cost to upsize to 12-inch pipe was $4,364.
Change Order 1, being presented for consideration today, requests to increase the Purchase Order by $15,872 for a total Purchase Order amount of $51,932. This is needed to adjust for the cost of the 12-inch pipe as the material takeoff was incorrectly based on 6-inch pipe. This does not affect the originating parcels’ share of the cost, as their maximum obligation is 8 inches and was calculated correctly.
BUDGET/IMPACT:
Neutral; additional expenditure of $15,872, total project cost is $51,932. Funding is from ZF448536-563102 with project code UTC000094.
