DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
Concentra is the County’s Occupational Medical Provider. The administrative staffing includes a Midlevel Physician’s Assistant and a Medical Assistant placed at the Employee Clinic, as well as provides services at the local Concentra office. The addition of the Medical Assistant was approved by the Board on October 5, 2021 for six (6) months during the height of COVID testing and vaccinations with an extension for the remainder of FY 21/22 approved on March 1, 2022. Although these services are currently not at the prior quantity, this position assists with many other tasks and recordkeeping required through the Concentra medical database. This renewal request is being presented with the Medical Assistant services continuing through next fiscal year. The estimated Occupational Medical Provider agreement cost is $341,000 which has been included in the proposed FY 22/23 Workers’ Compensation budget. A copy of the Contract Amendment and Pricing Overview is attached for review. Upon approval at today’s meeting, a copy will be sent to the agency for signatures, and upon return and approval by Legal, will be routed for the Clerk’s and Chairman’s signature.

Neutral; estimated expenditure of $341,000. Funds will be available in AA172562-534101.

Motion to approve the renewal and allow staff to issue the contract, and upon approval by Legal, authorize the Chairman and Clerk to execute the Sixth Amendment to Occupational Medical Care Provider Agreement between Marion County and Concentra Health Services, Inc. under 18P-095.
