DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND:
On September 3, 2025, the Board approved a contract with Odyssey Manufacturing Co, to provide sodium hypochlorite and calcium hypochlorite to locations throughout Marion County. Contract Amendment 1, presented today, adjusts the contracted unit price for Sodium Hypochlorite from $1.84 to $1.85 per gallon, effective October 1, 2026. The supplier requested the adjustment to address an extraordinary increase in fuel costs. Marion County Utilities reviewed the request and supports the one (1) cent per gallon increase. Attached for review is the draft contract amendment. Following Board approval at today’s meeting, the contract will be routed to Odyssey Manufacturing Co. for signature and once returned, will be forwarded to Legal, the Clerk, and Chairman for final execution.
BUDGET/IMPACT:
Neutral; additional expenditure of $4,300. Funding for this project is from line ZF442533-552108 and ZF445535-552108 (Marion County Utility Fund).

Motion to approve and allow staff to issue the contract amendment, and upon approval from Legal, authorize the Chairman and Clerk to execute the contract with Odyssey Manufacturing Co, under project 25P-140.
